We know—it’s a tough gig. You have to keep up with the latest trends, make sure you’re always posting the right content at the right time (and sometimes even write it yourself), and get paid for doing it all. It can feel like a lot of work, but we’re here to help!

Trips galore, free products, and a beautifully curated Instagram—the life of an influencer seems like a dream come true. While that may seem like the case, there is a lot of work that goes on behind-the-scenes. We’ve listed below some tips and tricks that we have learned over the years working with influencers and brands.

We have a great network of talent that is ready to work with you!

When Pet Stars came out, we were getting thousands of applications from animals who wanted us to manage them. We were so excited by all the amazing pets out there, but we knew we couldn’t take on every single one!

That’s why we’ve created a network of selected talent that are approved by our team. These animal influencers and set animals have gone through temperament testing or training documentation submission requirements, and they’re ready to work with you on projects like movie sets and ad campaigns.

If you’re looking to get your pet into commercials or social media posts, we can help with that too! Licensing is the process of protecting your content so no one can use it without permission. If legal stuff like licensing makes your head spin—we get it! That’s why Pets on Q can take care of this for you so that you know your content is protected and fairly compensated.

What is animal talent?

Much like human talent, animal talent has several avenues to make money in the influencer sphere. You might collaborate with brands or get your pet into commercials. At Pets on Q, we categorize our pet talent into three groups:

1: Approved Influencers

To be an approved influencer, our animal talent is vetted to ensure they have a quality audience of over 1,000. The brands and production companies that we work with need to know that our influencers have a following that engages with their content.

2: Approved Set Animals 

Approved set animals are a little different from influencers. These animals have gone through temperament testing, submitted training documentation to our platform, or taken an in-person test. These animals can work on projects like movie or television sets, photoshoots, and ad campaigns!

3: Licensing & Claiming

Claiming is done to protect the content you create so it isn’t monetized without permission. If you want to get your content on television, commercials, or social media, you need to license it. If legal stuff like licensing and claiming makes your head spin, we get it! Pets on Q can take care of this to make sure that your content is protected and fairly compensated.

All approved talent is visible to brands and production companies in our network. 

What is Pets on Q’s Network?

When Pet Stars came out, we were getting thousands of applications from animals who wanted to work with Pets on Q. To create a seamless experience, we created our NEW booking platform!

We believe that animal talent should have the tools they need to manage themselves easily, in order to make money doing what they love most. Our goal is to create a level playing field for animal talent so that everyone can succeed. In our network, you can connect with brands, manage your campaigns and get paid securely—all in one place.

What are castings?

Whether you get approved for our network or join our animal community, you’ll have the opportunity to start applying to casting calls. 

Castings are an open call from brands where influencers can apply to work with them. If you’re just getting started or you’ve been in the influencing game for a while, this is a great way to work with brands that you love. Apply to as many as you want and see what works out! You won’t get selected for each one you apply for, but it increases your chances of landing one.

Once approved for a casting call or campaign, set up a contract with the brand. This contract will include the terms of your agreement and the plan for payment. Once that’s done, the fun begins! This is when you get to start putting together concepts, sending content out for approval and brainstorming captions and hashtags. After your content is approved and posted, you will have successfully finished your campaign!

Active campaigns 

Once you get approved for a campaign, you will set a contract in place with the brand. This contract will include the terms of your agreement and the plan for payment. Once that’s done, the fun begins. This is when you get to start putting together concepts, sending content out for approval, and brainstorming captions and hashtags. 

After your content is approved and posted, you will have successfully finished your campaign!
